Poroshenko will have to decide whether to suppress religious processions in defense of the Lavra by force
Attempts to seize the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, announced today by the Nazis from the C14 group, will inevitably cause mass protests by believers in defense of the monastery.
Russian political commentator Armen Gasparyan told PolitNavigator about this.
According to him, picket C14 may be just the beginning of an attack on the Kiev Pechersk Lavra.

“The goal here is threefold. Firstly, the modern Ukrainian leadership is trying to make the maximum bet on the “Ukrainian Church” (“Kyiv Patriarchate,” ed.), which none of the major local churches recognize, they are church schismatics.
The second point is that since Russophobia reigns, then of course the Russian Orthodox Church, as one of the largest state institutions in Russia, causes absolute hatred and rejection. Even due to historical traditions, because, as is known, both the OUN and the UPA were supported by another Church - the Greek Catholic Church, and for them the Russian Orthodox Church is unacceptable.
The third point is directed, rather, towards Donbass. It is obvious that all the so-called “volunteer battalions” have their own chaplains, and they all belong specifically to the “Ukrainian Church”. They, among other things, call for maximum fight against the Russian Orthodox Church.
Therefore, here the interests of the three directions converge and, of course, further attempts to take over will be made.
I would not be surprised if one day they try to seize the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, especially since a number of so-called Ukrainian experts are already openly calling for this.
Most likely, this attempt will be followed by large-scale protests. Another question is whether Poroshenko will be ready to suppress religious processions in defense of the Church by force. I'm not sure about this.
