Kyiv, November 13 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Petro Poroshenko issued a decree introducing a new holiday in Ukraine - the “Day of Dignity and Freedom”, which will be celebrated on November 21, the anniversary of the start of the “Orange Revolution” in 2004.

According to Poroshenko’s idea, the new memorial date will contribute to the cause of “affirming the ideals of freedom and democracy in Ukraine, preserving and conveying to modern and future generations objective information about the fateful events in Ukraine at the beginning of the XNUMXst century.”
The Ukrainian president clarifies that the holiday is a tribute to “patriotism and courage of citizens,” who in the fall of 2004 and in November 2013 - February 2014 stood up to defend democratic values, human and civil rights and freedoms, the national interests of our state and its European choice."
