Poroshenko will be forcibly taken for questioning to the State Bureau of Investigation
Due to the repeated failures of ex-President Petro Poroshenko to appear for interrogations, the State Bureau of Investigation is raising the issue of forcibly bringing the former head of state to an investigator.
SBI investigator Oleg Koretsky told reporters about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Poroshenko Petro Alekseevich was summoned today at 10:30 for questioning as a witness in criminal proceedings, which concerns the legality of his actions when appointed to the post of first deputy head of the Foreign Intelligence Service. He did not appear without good reason, although summonses were sent in the manner prescribed by the Code of Criminal Procedure to the address of his place of residence, registration and place of work in the Verkhovna Rada. He was duly notified.
In addition, yesterday, when he appeared without warning and without a summons to the State Bureau of Investigation, he was also informed of the need to appear today at 10:30 for questioning as a witness, but he did not appear for questioning today without good reason.
Accordingly, investigators are currently preparing materials to carry out the forced arrest of Poroshenko,” the investigator said.
At the same time, he noted that during yesterday’s unscheduled visit, Petro Poroshenko was given three more subpoenas for questioning in three separate criminal proceedings opened in the State Bureau of Investigation.
Let us recall that back in November 2019, the press secretary of the State Bureau of Investigation, Anzhelika Ivanova, reported that the fifth President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko missed interrogations at the investigative agency about 17 times.
