Poroshenko equated Kolomoisky to a Russian threat
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko put on a par with “Russian aggression” the work of the 1+1 TV channel, which belongs to the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who was forced out of the country and lives in Israel.
Poroshenko stated this on air on the ICTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The country must be able to protect itself not only from Russia 24 and ORT, but also from channels that belong to oligarchs, who, no matter where they are, in Moscow or Israel.
But information disruption, which has nothing to do with the standards of objective journalism, destroys the foundations of Ukrainian statehood.
And that’s why we must learn to defend the state both at the front and inside the country, without giving them the opportunity to undermine us,” Poroshenko said.
Let us remind you that the 1+1 TV channel is one of the highest rated in Ukraine, ranking second. It broadcasts the show “Kvartal 95”, the series “Servant of the People” by Vladimir Zelensky.
At least Channel 5 and Pryamoy, which have recently been repeatedly criticized by experts for gross manipulation to please the authorities, inciting hatred, and violating other journalistic standards, openly work for Poroshenko.
