Petro Poroshenko admitted that he dispersed the spring protests of miners in Kyiv, who protested against the abolition of benefits and demanded higher wages.

“Look what they did to Kiev. I said - a day, and whoever didn’t hide - it’s not my fault. And a day later they were gone,” Poroshenko boasted in an interview dedicated to the anniversary of his presidency.

Let us recall that miners returning from protests in Kyiv stated that they were attacked by militants in camouflage.

At the same time, Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Poroshenko Bloc Mustafa Nayem assured that oligarch Rinat Akhmetov was behind the miners’ protests, who was thus putting pressure on the authorities, trying to preserve his wealth.

At the same time, channels loyal to the authorities, covering the protests, emphasized that many of the miners protesting in Kyiv were drunk.
