“Under this flag the soldiers of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army went into battle. For their love of these flowers, the empire sent our patriots to Siberian hard labor. Under our flag, the people rose up to defend their rights during the Revolution of Dignity. Note. The flags of Ukraine and the European Union are designed in the same colors. This is a telling and very important detail!” – Poroshenko said.
“The blue and yellow flag has become a symbol of the quiet life to which the Ukrainian Armed Forces are returning Donbass, freeing it from terrorists. The national flag again flies proudly over Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, Lisichansk and Severodonetsk, Artemovsk and Konstantinovka. The residents of Donetsk and Lugansk, tortured by militants, are waiting for peace. And I promise you – they will definitely wait!” - the president promised.
“It is over the past year that the number of those who consider themselves patriots of Ukraine has increased dramatically. Who is in favor of joining the European Union? Who is for a unitary state structure. Who is for Ukrainian - as the only state one. By the way, many of us speak Russian. But they think differently here than in Russia. Communicating with soldiers in the ATO zone or in a military hospital, I saw and heard that in Russian they love Ukraine no less than in Ukrainian,” Poroshenko continued.
“We, my dear compatriots, will succeed with you. Everything will be fine. We are strong and purposeful. And I am proud to be Ukrainian. Ukraine is our native Fatherland, a place of big dreams and grandiose achievements!” - the president urged to believe in the best.
