President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced this today, speaking today to students and teachers of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI), a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Let's monetize subsidies to motivate people to save. So that if a person saves heat, part of this money is allocated to the person. Moreover, highlight it not so that he goes and buys something, but so that he further improves energy consumption. For example, he can spend 50% on improving energy consumption in his own apartment. And so, step by step, year after year, he will reduce energy consumption, finance his own scientific developments and his own production in the energy sector,” Poroshenko said.
According to him, now the amount allocated from the Ukrainian budget for the payment of subsidies has increased from 47 to 62 billion UAH per year. At the same time, Poroshenko indignantly said that in some advertisements for renting apartments on Khreshchatyk for 2 thousand dollars, a note is made that the subsidy has been issued.
