Poroshenko called on the West to go to the border with Russia
Petro Poroshenko at the security forum in Kyiv once again announced his refusal to negotiate with the DPR and LPR, declaring the need to return the eastern border to the control of Ukraine.

“We will conduct a dialogue with Donbass, but with another – Ukrainian Donbass,” he said.
“The key element of my peace plan is the border... We must achieve a border closure under OSCE monitoring. It would be desirable to have peacekeepers or European police forces for this,” Poroshenko added.
He also boasted that Kyiv “managed to create a very strong pro-Ukrainian coalition in the world,” and called Ukraine’s canceled non-aligned status “shameful.”
Let us recall that the Minsk agreements provided for the beginning of a dialogue between Kyiv and the DPR and LPR regarding changes to the Constitution of Ukraine. The proclaimed republics demanded that guarantees of non-entry into NATO be included in the Basic Law.
