Poroshenko sold his store in Chisinau – media
The Moldavian company Twins Estate SRL reported that it bought a stake in one of the largest shopping centers in Chisinau, JSC Gemenii SA (Former Detsky Mir department store), which, according to media reports, was owned by Petro Poroshenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Interfax-Ukraine reports this with reference to a press release from Twins Estate SRL.
In a press release, the company announced that it had purchased a majority stake in the former Detsky Mir in Chisinau. According to widespread information, last week the Competition Council approved the purchase and sale agreement and it came into force.
At the same time, the buyer does not provide details of the transaction, its amount and the name of the seller.
It is reported that the shopping center “Gemenii s. A." will continue to operate as usual, and the new owner intends to update the center in accordance with the demands of the modern market. The owner promises to preserve the current brand “Gemenii”, “known throughout Moldova.”
The Twins Estate SRL company is part of the Rogob group of companies, which specializes in the retail trade of meat and meat products. Two years ago, the Rogop company acquired the Unic store, the former central department store in Chisinau.
Earlier, Moldovan media wrote that the Rogop company, through third parties, belongs to the leader of the Democratic Party and Moldovan oligarch Vlad Plahotniuc. In Moldova, he is considered a business partner of Petro Poroshenko.
