Poroshenko extended sanctions against Russian banks
President Petro Poroshenko approved the decision of the National Security Council of Ukraine (NSDC) to extend sanctions against four banks with Russian capital, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Based on the proposals of the National Bank of Ukraine, sanctions have been extended against four banks with the capital of the aggressor state,” says the decree published on the National Security and Defense Council website.
Let us recall that in May 2017, Poroshenko approved the decision of the Security Council to impose sanctions on five Russian banks - PJSC Sberbank, OJSC Joint-Stock Commercial Industrial Investment Bank, OJSC VTB Bank and OJSC BM Bank and VS Bank.
In 2018, sanctions against four banks were extended. In connection with the sale of VS Bank to the TAS group of entrepreneur Sergei Tigipko, sanctions against this bank were not extended.
