Poroshenko will lose the elections even if he wins
Kyiv, September 22 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Even if the Petro Poroshenko Bloc takes the majority of votes in the upcoming Verkhovna Rada elections, the victory will turn out to be Pyrrhic, writes the Kiev magazine “Reporter”.

The publication, citing Poroshenko's headquarters, reports on the plans of the presidential administration: to appoint about 100 deputies on the party list, as well as 140-150 people's deputies in majoritarian constituencies.
However, the resulting majority will be extremely unstable, the magazine predicts. In fact, the Poroshenko Bloc is repeating the mistakes of the Party of Regions, where there were many centers of influence, and the then president had to bargain with each faction. Poroshenko’s situation is even more difficult, since his project is young, and Viktor Yanukovych has been able to find a common language with the leaders of the “blue and white” groups for 10 years.
Poroshenko will at least have to negotiate with Vitali Klitschko, or Viktor Baloga, who leads his clan in Transcarpathia also on the lists of the presidential bloc.
“If Baloga and his brothers are running for elections from the BPP, who ran in 2012 as an ally of the “regionals,” is there any reason to believe that he will be more loyal to the current president than the previous one?” – writes “Reporter”.
The publication predicts that Poroshenko will be able to secure only a short-term advantage in parliament, however, experts give the new Verkhovna Rada only about a year of life.
