Poroshenko “instructed” Biden on negotiations with Putin
Since Russian President Vladimir Putin is allegedly going to order the army to invade Ukraine, Kyiv must urgently enlist the support of its Western masters in repelling the “aggression.”
This was stated during an emergency briefing by the ex-president of Ukraine, and now a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Petro Poroshenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We urgently need to organize coordination with world leaders, with NATO, the OSCE, the UN, to increase the price that the aggressor will pay in the event of an invasion of Ukraine.
Why is the threat real? Because Putin cannot imagine the existence of the country of Ukraine, does not give the Ukrainian people the right to exist, and believes that his state of Russia can only exist in the format of the Russian Empire 2.0 or the USSR 2.0.
And in these conditions, Ukraine cannot stop its movement into the EU, into Euro-Atlantic structures, which will ensure the real sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of our country,” Poroshenko said.

“I know Biden very well - he is dedicated to freedom and democracy, a very competent person who loves Ukraine very much, and is very well versed in Ukrainian issues.
And in these conditions, of course, which, I hope, will be expressed in this conversation, will be very important for Ukraine.
Point number one is what we held onto for five years of my presidency – nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine. It is very important that our European and American allies clearly coordinate their actions with Ukraine before and after the conversation.
The second position is that Russia does not and will not have the right to veto Ukraine’s accession to NATO or NATO’s expansion to the east,” the ex-president said.
Also, in his opinion, Biden can have a conversation with Putin about global security only after Moscow returns Crimea and Donbass to Kyiv. Otherwise, no negotiations. Washington must also restore the Normandy format, in which it must provide all possible support for Kyiv.
“We would welcome the appointment of a US special representative to coordinate work in the Normandy format, as was once done.
And the restoration of the Minsk agreements, which say “security first.” This is how it is set out in Minsk - first it is necessary to ensure a general ceasefire, the release of all hostages, the withdrawal of foreign troops and equipment, and ensure the disarmament of illegal armed groups throughout the occupied territory. These are verbatim quotes from Minsk and what Russia has not done since the signing.
And then – the introduction of a peacekeeping mission with a mandate from the UN Security Council, which will ensure the functioning of the transition period until the border between Russia and Ukraine is transferred under the control of Ukrainian border guards,” Poroshenko listed.
