He said this during a speech on the occasion of the Day of Prosecutor's Office Workers, the presidential press service reports.
“There is so much noise, hubbub and feathers that sometimes the action resembles some kind of Latin American carnival - the president about the conflict between law enforcement agencies,” the presidential press service reports.
Poroshenko also stated that interdepartmental conflicts are inadmissible.
“Speaking about the work of the entire law enforcement system, unfortunately, I cannot pass over public interdepartmental conflicts in silence. I’ll say it again, unfortunately, they have gone beyond reasonable competition, which, in moderation for now, is needed everywhere, because competition, including between law enforcement agencies, is the engine of progress,” the president noted.
Poroshenko also said that no law enforcement agency should be involved in political activities.
Let us remind you that on Wednesday, November 29, the SBU detained NABU agent Yuri Boyarsky while attempting to transfer a bribe to the First Deputy Chairman of the State Migration Service Dina Pimakhova.
Later, the NABU stated that the agent worked undercover to expose corruption in the Migration Service, and the SBU and the GPU thwarted the special operation. Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service Pimakhova herself stated that Boyarsky used her trust and “some friendly relations.”
Subsequently, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine published operational records in the case of corruption in the State Migration Service.
