Poroshenko is provoking that the Ukrainian Navy members be treated like the militia in Lvov
The murder of Russian volunteer Valery Ivanov in the Lvov prison could have been carried out on orders from Kiev in order to provoke cruel treatment of the Ukrainian Navy crews who had surrendered - Petro Poroshenko would have benefited from the tragic ending to the history of Ukrainian sailors.
Ex-candidate for mayor of Odessa Vyacheslav Azarov writes about this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“By ordering the beating of an LPR prisoner of war to death in the Lvov prison, the regime thereby provokes a similar attitude towards the Ukrainian sailors in Lefortovo. I cannot rule out that this is being done deliberately. Sailors are expendable for the authorities. The worse it is for them, the more PR the president will get before the elections,” Azarov explained.
Earlier, the lawyer of Ukrainian sailors, Nikolai Polozov, during speeches in Kyiv, called on them do not admit guilt, and also stated that videotaped confessions of violating the Russian border surrendered crews of Ukrainian Navy boats are not evidence.
