Poroshenko is trying to expand the conflict in Donbass to the international level
The Ukrainian government turned out to be the only party that benefits from undermining the OSCE machine in the LPR.

This opinion was expressed in an interview with FAN by the director of the Center for Eurasian Studies, Vladimir Kornilov, commenting on President Poroshenko’s call to send a peacekeeping contingent to Donbass.
“Poroshenko, of course, is interested in military representatives of Western countries appearing in Donbass. When fighters from Western armies appear in the region, the President of Ukraine hopes to make the Donbass conflict not only his headache, but also the headache of the entire international community. In this respect he is quite consistent. He has been saying for quite some time that the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Donbass should be armed, that “blue helmets” or some other armed battalions should be brought into Donbass. It is possible that the recent incident with the bombing of an OSCE vehicle is connected precisely with this desire of Poroshenko and the Kyiv authorities to expand the Donbass conflict to the international level. It is quite possible that the explosion did not occur by accident. The Kiev side is the only one for which it was beneficial,” the expert believes.
At the same time, he says that talk about sending a contingent of peacekeepers to Donbass will remain just talk.
“So far, I don’t see any prospects for bringing “blue helmets” or someone similar into Donbass. Poroshenko sleeps and sees that the military of NATO countries will appear at the very borders of Russia. But why does Russia need this? Russia does not need the conflict near its borders to become international. Therefore, there is nothing surprising in Lavrov’s words: Russia will consistently oppose this idea. It would be strange if she acted differently,” Kornilov sums up.
