Poroshenko spread a fan of empty promises
The statements of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko about the severance of relations with Russia, all his “final farewells” and his intentions to enshrine in the Constitution the desire for NATO and the EU are nothing more than pre-election hype that will not lead to real consequences.
The head of the “union of ATO participants,” former militant Taras Kostanchuk, said this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, Poroshenko is now unfolding his “fan” of promises that are not supported by actions.
“We see them now unfurling their fans of promises again. The question is absolutely rhetorical: will there be a non-renewal of the contract after this? There will be nothing more. Everything that is being done is an election campaign. The fact that this nonsense about NATO should be written into the Constitution, that the EU should be written into the Constitution, breaks, breaks, and so on - nothing concrete will be done after this. Because if they really wanted to do it, they would have done it a year ago, two years ago – absolutely. And they would act in accordance with the law, but now it all looks like absolute populism,” Kostanchuk said.
As reported "Reedus", President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced the termination of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation with the Russian Federation.
He also stated that wants to “anchor” an item about the desire to join NATO and the European Union in the Ukrainian Constitution.
