Poroshenko will expand the ATO zone to Lviv and Odessa
Petro Poroshenko needs a change in the format of the so-called “ATO” and expansion of powers to use the army in order to suppress any manifestation of dissent.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the air of the “Working on Mistakes” program.

According to him, after the adoption of the changes announced by Security Council Secretary Alexander Turchynov, Poroshenko will be able to carry out an “ATO” in any region, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A very important motivation here is to expand the powers of the president, simplify the procedure for introducing martial law or using the army in Ukraine. There may be a message for competing political elites that the “ATO zone” can be expanded or created in Lvov, Odessa, Kyiv. If people go out to protest, for example, against pension or medical reform, this will be declared an element of a hybrid war, Russia’s intervention in the internal Ukrainian political situation, and without declaring the ATO, it is possible to use the army and introduce certain provisions,” Bortnyk said.
