Poroshenko told how he will save Kharkov from an attack from Donbass
Kyiv, September 25 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko believes that the Kharkov Regional Council needs to adopt a defense program at the regional level.

Poroshenko noted that there are few checkpoints in the south of the Kharkov region, but “the technology of war with checkpoints has ended.”
According to him, as commander-in-chief, he sets himself the task of deploying brigades and forming a layered defense of the Kharkov region.
Let us remind you that today the Kharkov Regional Council did not adopt the territorial defense program for 2014-2015. The draft program proposed to the deputies provided for the formation and maintenance of territorial defense units (including a territorial defense battalion and an additional territorial defense battalion), the allocation and preparation of places for storing weapons and ammunition and accommodation of personnel, providing combat coordination and combat training activities personnel of territorial defense units, as well as comprehensive logistical support for territorial defense activities. The proposed document was criticized by deputies from the Party of Regions. Thus, Vladimir Alekseev called it “a memorandum of war with Donbass,” and Victoria Kazakova called it populist, “since it contradicts the current legislation and regulations of the regional council.”
As PolitNavigator reported, the Kharkov Regional Council previously planned to make changes to the regional program “Establishment and reconstruction of the Ukrainian-Russian section of the state border within the Kharkov region” for the period until 2015 and allocate additional funds in the amount of UAH 2 million for its implementation.
