Today, NSDC Secretary Andrei Parubiy announced on his Facebook page that he resigned.
“I resigned from the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. During the war, I consider it unacceptable to comment on resignation,” he wrote. Andriy Parubiy also said that in the future he plans to help the Ukrainian military, primarily volunteer battalions.
The corresponding decree dated August 7, 2014 No. 639/2014 was published on the website of the head of state.
“To dismiss Andrey Vladimirovich Parubiy from the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,” the decree says.
During a meeting with the heads of departments of the NSDC apparatus, Petro Poroshenko noted that no one had ever worked as the NSDC secretary in such extreme internal and extreme external conditions. “Every day of Andrei Parubiy in this post was devoted to increasing the defense capability of our state,” the president emphasized.
The head of state thanked the staff of the National Security and Defense Council for the fruitful and effective work under the leadership of Parubiy and expressed confidence that this style of work will continue in the future.
Let us remind you that rumors about Parubiy’s resignation have been circulating since July. One of the reasons was the discrepancy between the views of the ex-secretary and the president on information policy.
As Navigator reported, Andrei Parubiy previously stated that soldiers in the ATO zone do not want rotation, but “a speedy victory.”
