The top leadership of Ukraine is seriously thinking about giving up the part of Donbass not controlled by Ukraine. People's Deputy and former commander of the Donbass battalion Semyon Semenchenko stated this on TV channel 112.

According to him, this decision is explained by the fact that Donbass is a region where the electorate will always be pro-Russian and against NATO and European integration.
“There is an opinion in the top political leadership about abandoning Donbass, because it is a problem and because the people who are there have little support for both the NATO vector and Ukraine. But Putin can go further, to the next part of Donbass, then to Kharkov. That is, people who are ready to support him are in the minority, of course, but they are everywhere. Despite the fact that there are such thoughts in the leadership, this should under no circumstances be done,” Semenchenko said.
