Poroshenko risks receiving a painful blow from Klitschko
The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, is giving suspicious signs to President Petro Poroshenko on the eve of the latter’s nomination ceremony for the elections, which is to take place in the coming days.
Kiev journalist Evgeniy Kuksin came to this conclusion in his blog, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
Thus, the journalist publishes a photo from the so-called Ukrainian breakfast at the international economic forum in Davos, where Klitschko demonstratively hugs Poroshenko’s rival Yulia Tymoshenko, and then sits at the same table with her and another presidential candidate, ex-Minister of Defense Anatoly Gritsenko. Poroshenko is at another table.
“Did Klitschko, consciously or unconsciously, sit at the same table in Davos with Gritsenko and Tymoshenko, and not with Poroshenko? The hugs between Klitschko and Tymoshenko are presented as a whole for a reason.
This means that the administrative resources of Kyiv choose Yulia. She demonstrates this to everyone. Klitschko is not just a mayor. He is the chairman of the central council of the BPP party and the chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration. And he wants to leave everything as it is.
Chair, flows and schemes. Therefore, it is better to cave in now and then milk the capital again. Well, there is no place here for so-called reforms, improvements and all the other crap that we hear about from congresses at the Sports Palace. It didn’t happen with Alekseevich, and it won’t happen with Vladimirovna either.
Because there is a vicious circle here: in order to be definitely elected in Kyiv, you need an alliance with Klitschko. And for Kyiv to have a chance, Klitschko must be kicked out. But this will not work, because the guarantee of Klitschko’s support for Yulia is the guarantee for Yulia Klitschko that Kyiv remains in the hands of him and the group of developers. The boat floats and dumps ballast. Pyotr Alekseevich turned out to be the ballast,” notes Kuksin.
Meanwhile, Ukrayinska Pravda reports that the official nomination of Petro Poroshenko as a presidential candidate will take place on January 29. At the same time, the current guarantor will run for elections not from the party of the same name, but as an independent figure.
“The presidential nomination of Petro Poroshenko will take place on January 29 at the International Exhibition Center in Kyiv. As sources say, according to the plans, there should be not only BPP deputies, but also all members of the government (including Vladimir Groysman) who represent this political force, and the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko. The interlocutors add that this will not be a party congress. Most likely, Poroshenko will run as a self-nominated candidate,” the message says.
