Poroshenko blurted out too much in Germany and France
The current President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, still has all the powers to put an end to the war in Donbass.
Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Communist Party Spiridon Kilinkarov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He noted that he was surprised by Poroshenko’s statement in Germany and France about allegedly reaching agreements on a truce in Donbass.
“The question arises: if I understand correctly, the war in Donbass is the result of what Germany and France demanded of us, which can make a decision and end this war? The logic is something like this,” Kilinkarov said.
“Of course, if you look closely at the Minsk agreements, the president can do two very important things - these are the first two points of the agreements. This is a ceasefire and, most importantly, the withdrawal of troops. These are the two things that are within the powers of the president. Everything else, the political part, is the authority of parliament. Of course, this will largely depend, if we manage to reach a parliamentary campaign, what kind of parliament it will be and how ready it will be to make such decisions,” added the former people’s deputy.
