From Soviet times, there is a story about a dissident artist who invented a way to circumvent the demands of a picky artistic council. The resolution of this body was necessary for the painting to participate in the next official exhibition.

The trick was this. The artist painted somewhere in the corner of the picture something that was not entirely related to the theme of the canvas, for example, a “dog,” to which the artistic council immediately drew attention.

The artist met a reasonable remark about the inappropriateness of such an element of the picture with an energetic defense of the “concept”. As a result of the debate, he nevertheless removed the “dog”, and everyone was happy with the compromise - both the artistic council (eliminating the misunderstanding) and the artist (preserving his original idea).

Now the Ukrainian leadership is trying to sell another “dog” to the population.

President Petro Poroshenko pretends to care about the people - he suddenly noticed that the largest state-owned Oschadbank wants to introduce a commission when paying for housing and communal services. The country’s leadership did not notice that tariffs had skyrocketed, while citizens’ real incomes had fallen significantly.

In this regard, Poroshenko sent a letter to the chairman of the board of Oschadbank, Andrey Pyshny, in which he demanded an immediate review of the decision to collect the commission.

The president's intervention helped - the bank postponed the unpopular measure.

However, Oschadbank did not abandon its plans, but only gave the authorities time to develop a mechanism that would make it possible to leave utility bills free for subsidy recipients.

In other words: if the state wants, it can figure out how to compensate for additional costs for the population.

No matter how hard the Ukrainian authorities try to declare all those dissatisfied “participants in the Russian Shatun plan,” the population has more and more questions about the Poroshenko regime.

For example, why did gas prices for the population triple after Euromaidan? After all, due to falling oil prices, the price for purchasing “blue fuel” has decreased. Before the Maidan it was $3, but now it’s only $400 per thousand cubic meters!

In this situation, no “dogs” of Poroshenko will help.
