Poroshenko is spreading panic in the country. Ukrainians are leaving the country en masse
The citizens of Ukraine are scared, and therefore the country's leadership must report to parliament whether martial law is necessary.
The leader of “Batkivshchyna” Yulia Tymoshenko stated this at a meeting of the conciliation council of faction leaders and chairmen of committees of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When the president of the country comes to the Verkhovna Rada and says that the aggressor’s troops are gathering on the country’s border, when he says that literally within hours the country will be attacked and a full-scale war will unfold, not a single parliament has the right to prevent the president from introducing those measures. which are needed to protect the country. That's why we still supported the president“, said the politician.
“People all over the country are very scared. They are in a state of shock. People began to leave the country en masse. We are obliged to listen behind closed doors to the President, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, the main security officials, how the situation with martial law is unfolding, and what is being done. It may be necessary to approach the President about reducing the duration of martial law. There may be no grounds for this,” the deputy added.
“Unfortunately, the vast majority of people and the media in the world suspect that the martial law was of an artificial nature and some kind of political background. I, like all the patriotic forces of Ukraine, do not want to believe in this, but we must look into this in detail and give the Ukrainian people an answer as to whether this is really so.
If, God forbid, the grounds for introducing martial law were artificial, we, the entire parliamentary team, need to think that, God forbid, there will be no further artificial escalations. War cannot become a factor in some kind of political fuss,” Tymoshenko concluded.
