About it reports “Polish Radio”, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The publication notes that Ukraine is not satisfied with the draft declaration prepared for the Eastern Partnership summit, which will take place on Friday, November 24.
According to his information, Poroshenko warned that he would not fly to the capital of Belgium if the document was not changed.
For Ukraine, this declaration is not very ambitious. It speaks of recognizing the European aspirations of the Eastern Partnership countries, but at the same time, without going beyond the already established framework. The document does not represent, for example, a European perspective for Ukraine.
“In addition, Ukrainians do not like references to the declaration of the leaders of the European Union from December 2016, which was then written for the Dutch and was supposed to convince them to support the EU association agreement with Ukraine. The document states that the agreement does not lead to automatic membership of Ukraine in the Commonwealth. For the authorities in Kyiv, references to such conclusions are negative and they want a more positive message,” the media writes.

According to diplomats, irritation in Brussels is also associated with the Ukrainian President's threats that he will not be at the Eastern Partnership summit and that rather these threats are not taken seriously.
