The head of the Ukrainian state once again recalled his promise to end the war quickly, which he made during the election race.

“Then there was no understanding of the state of our army or the scale of the Russian invasion. But today everyone clearly understands that both the fuse of war and the key to peace are not in Kiev and not in Brussels and not in Washington, from which I returned tonight, paying tribute and respect to the great friend of the Ukrainian people, the real hero of America, Senator John McCain . And the key to peace and the fuse of war are in Moscow,” Poroshenko said.

Previously Petro Poroshenko admitted that he deceived the population of Ukraine, promising a quick end to the war in his campaign speeches.
