On the eve of the presidential elections in Ukraine, prices for housing and utility tariffs will increase sharply.
Former People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleg Tsarev stated this on air on the News-Front channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Well, everything is clear: the IMF demands to raise utility costs, gas fees, the hryvnia exchange rate is falling, so it is obvious that prices for utilities will have to be raised in order to receive financing from the IMF, otherwise there will be a default. Because no matter how much Petro Poroshenko doesn’t want to raise prices before the presidential elections, a default is even worse, so I think it will be raised,” Tsarev believes.
