The fire at the arsenal in Kalinovka near Vinnitsa could have been organized by the Ukrainian authorities themselves, and not only with the aim of hiding thefts in the army. This assumption was made by Igor Nemodruk, a DPR army serviceman and volunteer from Odessa, in a conversation with a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“My personal opinion is that they blew up the warehouse themselves. And there may be two motives here. The first is arson to hide the theft. The second motive of a higher level is preparing public opinion for the fact that they need to negotiate with Donbass.
Poroshenko achieved nothing with his last trip. And in order to save himself, he needs to make some kind of non-standard move. Unleashing a full-scale war is death for him. Leaving the situation as it is now will also not lead to anything good for him, because Saakashvili and the opposition are preparing his overthrow.
Therefore, it is quite possible that he is now preparing such a move that it is necessary, they say, to negotiate with the republics of Donbass. By the way, military prosecutor Matios recently spoke about the need to start negotiations with the DPR and LPR.
