Earlier, Poroshenko addressed deputies of the Verkhovna Rada stated that due to the threat of attack from Russia, he considered it advisable to sleep with a pistol under his pillow.

“Establishing peace in Donbass will not mean getting rid of the military threat from the East. Unfortunately, this threat is visible over a very long-term historical perspective and will constantly require great efforts and colossal resources. This is a reality that Ukraine realized late; which we are unlikely to be able to change, but which we must learn to counteract... Sorry, sometimes I even sleep with a revolver under my pillow, because the so-called brother is at the gate!” - Poroshenko said.
