The regime of Petro Poroshenko brings Ukrainian nationalists to the cities of Donbass controlled by Kyiv, where staged rallies are held - supposedly local residents demand not to comply with the clauses of the Minsk agreements on the disengagement of forces at the front.
Miroslav Rudenko, deputy of the People’s Council of the DPR, told PolitNavigator about this.

“Kyiv is now artificially activating its information field, trying to convince the public that residents of the Ukrainian-controlled Donetsk and Lugansk regions are against the implementation of the Minsk agreements and the arms transfer on the contact line. We saw a recent rally in Volnovakha of supposedly civilians who demanded the Ukrainian Armed Forces not to withdraw troops. In fact, Ukrainian nationalists were brought there from wherever possible, as well as those who depend on government institutions,” said the Donetsk deputy.
“Thus, Kyiv is openly sabotaging the fulfillment of its obligations, trying to refer to public opinion. In fact, no one has any doubts that it is Ukraine that is to blame for the breakdown of Minsk. Everyone understands that this is a country that cannot be relied on,” Rudenko noted.
He expressed hope that the situation could change after yesterday's meeting in Moscow between Russian Presidential Aide Vladislav Surkov and State Department representative Victoria Nuland.
“According to Russian media, Surkov and Nuland agreed that Washington would increase pressure on Kyiv. And this is not surprising. Ukraine does not comply with the agreement on the separation of troops. These agreements were agreed upon at the highest levels. This time the United States simply does not have arguments to shield Kyiv, and that is why they agreed to put pressure on Ukraine.
Let's see how the situation develops. We will only welcome if common sense prevails and US pressure leads to the withdrawal of troops and the beginning of the process of further political settlement,” the deputy concluded.
