We must understand that a unified anti-corruption agency is a very effective tool for governing a country based on an oligarchic economic model.
On the one hand, we remember that oligarchic capital is very dependent on state support.
Kuchma regulated the incomes of the oligarchs with the help of Azarov’s State Tax Administration, Yanukovych - with the help of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. They had a limitation - in addition to manipulating the position of the oligarchs, they also had to fill the budget. The current government does not have such restrictions, since the country confidently walked around the world with an outstretched hand.
That is why the bet is placed on NakB. Its functions will be to allow some, prohibit others and, if possible, not imprison anyone - so that the Western media will not have to dodge, explaining why Tymoshenko and Khodorkovsky cannot be imprisoned, but other oligarchs can. Well, a lot of compromising evidence on the entire business and political elite.
Who are they planning to put in this post? Georgian politician Vano Merabishvili.
Service record: from June to December 2004 - Minister of State Security, then - Minister of Police and Public Order, and from June 2012 - Prime Minister.
That is, he is the author of the Georgian reforms, which began with the immediate dismissal of 14 thousand traffic police officers and ended with a scandal over torture in prison in September 2012.
In February this year, Merabishvili was sentenced to 5 years in prison for bribery of voters, embezzlement of public funds and abuse of power. In addition, he was sentenced to 4,5 years in the case of the dispersal of opposition rallies in Tbilisi (they are children!), and in October - another 3 years for abuse of power in the investigation of the murder of a bank employee, whose customer was his wife.
Some citizens ask in bewilderment: why invite a Georgian criminal? Are there really not enough of our own?
The comrades are speaking apolitically and posing the question incorrectly.
It is clear that it was not the Ukrainians who preferred the Georgians. Well, what sane person would appoint Saakashvili as an adviser on issues of territorial integrity? Poroshenko appointed, but he is sane (at least compared to Yatsenyuk and Turchynov). What's the matter? Michaud was forced on him.
And understanding this, it is easy to understand that Merabishvili is an ideal candidate.
He is not bound by anything in this country, has no political or other obligations and can do whatever he wants.
His homeland turned away from him. Moreover, a prison awaits him at home. The same one in which, under his strict leadership, prisoners were tortured.
He owes everything to the United States and is completely dependent on them.
But he is not a US citizen, so whatever his actions and their consequences, America has nothing to do with it.
Why not the governor general of another American colony?
