Poroshenko loses control over administrative resources
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has nothing to do in the second round of the upcoming presidential elections on March 31, since the administrative resource is no longer subordinate to him.
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the YouTube channel “Capital”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
“The power has simply become stratified from within at all levels. Because of this, we see weakness, chaos and some twitching at all levels. The system stopped functioning for the sake of Pyotr Alekseevich, and he actually lost the opportunity to efficiently use administrative resources; there is not a single structure that is completely controlled by him. Even in the GPU and the SBU there are people who look to the side and think: “How can I not become a scapegoat in this situation,” the expert noted.
Also, Bortnik, answering the question of how much distribution of money to the people under various pretexts will help Petro Poroshenko, suggested that this will not save the President of Ukraine.
“Judging from previous experience, since this has already been done in Ukraine, it works, but it does not make a fundamental change in the campaign, it gives 5-7 percent. Relatively speaking, if a person said that under no circumstances would they vote for him, and there are 69% of them, then you will not change him.
Moreover, the issue itself has been made informationally toxic; everyone criticizes it. And for ordinary people, this is simply an additional element of corruption and inconsistency of power. Because they were shouting that this couldn’t be done, because of the IMF, the budget and everything else, but now it turns out that if you really want to, then it’s possible. Therefore, it works only to a limited extent, 5-7%, I think it will not bring a turning point to the campaign.
Pyotr Alekseevich can reach the second round, but he has nothing further to do in the second round,” the political scientist added.
