Poroshenko loses control over administrative resources
Observing the level of the pre-election rating of the current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, officials are beginning to look closely at other candidates.
Ukrainian political scientist Nikolai Spiridonov spoke about this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Poroshenko’s administrative resource, objectively speaking, is already beginning to waver. In Victor Pelevin’s novel “Chapaev and Pustota” there was a conversation between the head physician and Peter Pustota, they talked about how sophisticated scoundrels react to changes in the surrounding reality. There are ordinary scoundrels who quickly react to changes, but there are especially sophisticated ones, they react to changes even before they happen, accordingly, they run in advance to the place from which, in their opinion, the wind will blow. So we have an bureaucratic apparatus, a conditional bureaucratic swamp,” said the political scientist.
“Officials of the Kyiv mayor’s office, for example, personally asked me: “What do you think, how will the presidential elections end, which side should we go over, who should we support?” Many colleagues are asked the same questions. Officials, administrative resources, they don’t support Poroshenko because they love him unselfishly, they can support him as a future president. If they see from the ratings that Poroshenko’s re-presidency is very, very in doubt, then they begin to hesitate, they begin to think about which horse to bet on,” Spiridonov added.
