Poroshenko demands that governors step up to the layered defense of Donbass
Kyiv, March 14 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – President of Ukraine Petra Poroshenko believes that every region of Ukraine should take part in the creation of fortifications in the Donbass.

“Each region must make its contribution if we do not want to meet the enemy on the border of our city,” he said at a meeting with the heads of regional administrations.
Poroshenko said that, according to the plan, each region will be assigned a certain part of the work. The management of a specific region will be responsible for the timing and quality of work, Poroshenko explained. He also pointed out the importance of building an effective line of defense.
“Taking into account our experience, we must build a highly effective, deep defense in the shortest possible time,” the press service quotes him as saying.
He also said that the start of the peace process a month ago should not “create the illusion that the threat has receded.”
