Poroshenko was convinced that it was time to go to early elections – journalist
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko may announce early presidential elections on Constitution Day, which is celebrated on June 28.
The PolitNavigator correspondent writes about this in his blog, as investigative journalist Alexander Dubinsky writes.
According to him, this will be done during an address to the people.
“According to my information, Poroshenko’s headquarters convinced him that he had a ghostly chance of retaining power only with early presidential elections... I do not yet have details of how this will help Poroshenko retain power - most likely, through the “choice” of a successor, who guarantees immunity,” Dubinsky said.
As PolitNavigator reported, in Kyiv they noted that Poroshenko's rating deflates by one percent a month.
