President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this today, answering questions from deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine adopted a law in parliament on the special status of certain districts of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. We have determined the territory in which this law will apply. We voted in the first reading of the amendment to the constitution. We have fulfilled 95% of the political package,” Poroshenko said.
According to him, Ukraine now expects the Russian side to implement a “security package.”
“First of all, a ceasefire. We can't achieve this. There was not a single day when fire did not open. We paid a high price for this. Many Ukrainian soldiers and more than 7 thousand civilians were killed. Everything is in the hands of one person – Putin,” Poroshenko said.
