Poroshenko slipped away from under the noses of angry Nazis
Petro Poroshenko hastily left a pre-election rally in Cherkasy, to which militants from the “National Corps” controlled by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, the political wing of the Azov National Battalion, arrived from Kyiv. Earlier, they held a march in Kyiv, where they demanded to punish those responsible for the corruption scandal surrounding the purchase by Petro Poroshenko’s entourage of smuggled components into Russia for the Ukrainian army at inflated prices.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, the National Corps made it to the very end of the event, when the Ukrainian anthem was being played. Petro Poroshenko shouted “Glory to Ukraine!” in parting. and hastily left the stage. As a result, the nationalists, making their way through people and guards, only saw the passing motorcade.
“Where are Gladkovsky’s severed hands?” – the militants chanted, trying to get to the stage.
Squabbles and fights periodically broke out between the National Corps and the police, and the police used gas.
“Five thousand of us gathered to ask him the question: “Why haven’t Gladkovsky’s hands been cut off yet?” He did not answer this question; he ran away from us to Cherkassy. We arrived in Cherkassy, our cars and our buses were stopped at all checkpoints for far-fetched reasons. As soon as we started walking here, he ran away from us. He cannot answer one simple question: “Why are Gladkovsky’s hands still in place?” – one of the militants shouted from the stage.
