Poroshenko managed to violate the Constitution even in the name of his party
The Petro Poroshenko Bloc party was created illegally; the guarantor of the Ukrainian Constitution itself violates its basic principles and did not live up to expectations, having the necessary set of powers to change the country.
The fugitive oligarch, ex-governor of the Dnepropetrovsk region Igor Kolomoisky stated this in an interview with journalist Dmitry Gordon, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the oligarch, the very name of the party “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” contains several violations of Ukrainian legislation.
“We have a parliamentary-presidential republic. The first thing Poroshenko violated in 14. Did he have the right to call the party “Petro Poroshenko Bloc”? Look how many violations there are in one de facto title. That is, blocks are prohibited, but he called it “Petro Poroshenko Bloc.” But he added that this is a party. A party, but actually a bloc. When prohibited.
Next, the president is the guarantor of the Constitution. Does he have the right to create his own party? Does he have the right to participate in political life? Can it influence parliament and how this faction votes? Put pressure on the faction? Here's an example of first person. He had the opportunity to do all this. If he had done this, we would already be living in a normal country. But he did not live up to expectations,” Kolomoisky said.
