European businessmen should not complain about losses from sanctions against Russia, since this money is thus invested in the future and in the security of Ukraine and Europe.

This was stated by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, speaking at the 13th annual YES meeting “The World, Europe and Ukraine: Storms of Change.”
“I hear from European entrepreneurs that they have huge losses from sanctions against Russia. But in fact, these are not losses, they are investments. Investments in your own safety, your world. Russia received large profits from cooperation with Western countries and from oil and gas, but they did not go towards modernization, not towards updating the state and economy, improving life, but for corruption, large-scale modernization of the army, which now threatens Ukraine and Europe. Our and your safety. We cannot allow euros or dollars to come back to us from Russia like bullets and missiles,” he said.
