Poroshenko arranged “Neptune’s day” for himself
At the test site in the Odessa region, launches took place from the Neptune missile system, which will soon be put into service with the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced this on Facebook.
It is noted that in addition to the launcher itself, the entire mobile coastal complex was demonstrated.
“The enemy uses electronic warfare, but this creates real conditions for the combat use of missiles. There are no mitigating conditions,” Poroshenko said.
“Neptune” is a complex with anti-ship cruise missiles developed by the State Kyiv Design Bureau “Luch”.
The first flight tests of the new Ukrainian ground-based cruise missile took place on January 30, 2018. The tests, which checked their flight characteristics and the operation of the rocket systems, were successful.
