Poroshenko claims that he has agreed on negotiations with Russia in the “Geneva format”
Kyiv, January 25 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko agreed on the need for the Geneva format of negotiations with Russia, the United States and the European Union.

According to the press service of the head of state, Poroshenko, while on a visit to Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), held a number of bilateral meetings with world leaders, as well as telephone conversations with US Vice President Joe Biden, President of the European Council Donald Tusk, High Representative EU Foreign and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.
“The President reached an agreement on the need to hold negotiations in the Geneva format with the participation of the United States of America, the European Union, Ukraine and the Russian Federation,” the statement said.
In addition, the press service informed that a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine is being convened on January 25.
