Kyiv, October 25 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that neither he nor Russian leader Vladimir Putin recognizes the legitimacy of the elections, which are scheduled for November 2 by the authorities of the proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk republics.

Poroshenko said this on the air of the Shuster Live program, emphasizing that the elections on November 2 do not correspond to the Minsk agreements.

“Fake elections... Without observers and voters, who are once again trying to appoint an illegitimate government. Nobody admits this. I assure you that Russia does not recognize them either. This was clearly announced in Milan,” Poroshenko said.

On November 2, elections of deputies to local parliaments, as well as the heads of the two republics, are scheduled to take place in Donetsk and Lugansk.
