This was reported by the press service of Petro Poroshenko.
The document provides for the introduction of a mechanism for the accelerated issuance of temporary permits for television and radio broadcasting in territories “most vulnerable to external negative information influence,” as well as the determination of special conditions for the transition from analogue to digital broadcasting in individual administrative-territorial units.
To implement this law, they must introduce a procedure for granting permission for temporary broadcasting in territories with a special broadcasting regime, in particular “bordering the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine - the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.”
In particular, the document allows the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting to issue permits for temporary broadcasting.
Let us remind you that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted this law on December 7, 2017 with 241 votes of people’s deputies. During the discussion, discussion was sparked by the definition of “territories with a special broadcasting regime” due to the inclusion of “border areas” in them. As a compromise, this definition from the voice was excluded from the text of the document.
