Poroshenko legalized the entry of foreign troops into Ukraine
Today, Petro Poroshenko signed a law allowing the admission of units of the armed forces of other states, including the United States, to the country in 2018 to participate in multinational exercises.

Let us note that earlier Poroshenko asked the Rada to approve his decision to allow units of foreign troops into the territory of Ukraine to participate in the Ukrainian-American exercises Sea Breeze-2018 and Rapid Trident-2018.
Thus, the status of the passage of the document on the Rada website on Monday notes that “the law was returned with the signature of the president.”
Based on the provisions of this law, it is proposed to allow the admission of military units of the United States and other NATO member states (up to 3 thousand military personnel with weapons and military equipment, up to six aircraft and helicopters) for a period of up to a year in January-December 2018 as part of multinational training exercises units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
For the Rapid Trident 2018 exercises, it is proposed to allow access to military units of the United States, other NATO member states and countries participating in the Partnership for Peace program (up to 2 thousand military personnel with weapons and military equipment, up to 20 airplanes and helicopters) for a period of up to 16 days in June-November 2018.
It should be noted that in addition to the Ukrainian-American exercises, a number of others are also planned to be held in Ukraine in 2018: “Bright Avalanche - 2018”, multinational exercises “Clear Sky - 2018” and the Ukrainian-Romanian exercises “Riverian - 2018”.
