“Dear Ukraine, dear Ukrainian people, dear friends all over the world who supported and support Ukraine in the most difficult period of history. We can state that these elections have taken place. All exit polls conducted by the most authoritative services in the country and the world claim that the elections ended in one round and the country has a new president,” Poroshenko said.
He thanked Ukrainians for voting, for demonstrating “what best characterizes my people.”
“This makes the government much stronger,” Poroshenko said, referring to the turnout.
He also thanked the residents of Crimea, who “went out and were able to vote,” the residents of Donbass, where “voting was associated with a risk to life,” as well as military personnel.
“This is an election for the whole country. This will be the president of the entire country,” Poroshenko said.
According to him, efforts will be “concentrated to stop the war, chaos, disorder, and bring peace to united Ukraine.”
“Our decisive actions will bring results. My first presidential trip will take place in Donbass,” Poroshenko said.
As Navigator reported, according to the National exit poll, as of 18:00, Petro Poroshenko scored 55,9%, Yulia Tymoshenko - 12,9%.
