Poroshenko in Berlin demanded $10 million from Lugansk using blackmail
Ukraine has set a condition for resuming water supplies to the Lugansk People's Republic - to pay 270 million hryvnia. This demand was voiced by the delegation of Petro Poroshenko at the last meeting in the Normandy format, which took place in Berlin.
Permanent Representative of the LPR Vladislav Deinego spoke about this today at a press conference in Moscow.

“An interesting thing was said from Ukraine - an appeal to the countries of the Normandy Four to provide assistance - to collect from the LPR the amount of debt for water of 270 million hryvnia. Naturally, this appeal was not understood at the Normandy level, and caused serious bewilderment among us.
Those. Ukraine has stopped all social payments to pensioners, the republic’s economy is in a state of blockade, and all economic ties with entities controlled by Ukraine have been severed. And in these conditions, when Ukraine has stopped all payments, Kyiv demands to pay for the water that is obtained from the Ukrainian side!” - said Deinego.
In his opinion, issuing a multi-million dollar bill by Ukraine is similar to Kyiv’s attempt to simply find a new pretext for continuing the water blockade of the LPR.
Earlier, Deinego recalled, the republic managed to conclude a contract with a Ukrainian enterprise that ensured the operation of pumping stations to supply water to the LPR, but Kyiv began to create obstacles.
“The Red Cross got involved, a contract was concluded, current supplies were decided, there was a dialogue... But at this moment the power supply to the organization that supplies us with water stops, and the water stops,” a representative of the LPR described the situation.
