Poroshenko violated diplomatic etiquette in Berlin
Petro Poroshenko in Berlin, at a meeting with members of the Normandy Four, violated diplomatic etiquette by attending a press conference with journalists while the leaders of Russia, Germany and France were still continuing negotiations.
Deputy Head of the Institute of CIS Countries Vladimir Zharikhin stated this today at a press conference in Moscow.

The expert drew attention to the fact that there was no joint statement following the negotiations; all leaders spoke one at a time. According to Zharikhin, Poroshenko violated the rules of diplomatic etiquette when he came out to reporters before the end of the meeting. He believes that Poroshenko will continue to sabotage the Minsk agreements.
Zharikhin believes that the leaders of Germany and France were in vain in deciding to hold a conversation with Petro Poroshenko before meeting with Vladimir Putin.
“The leaders of the former great countries deprived their countries of this status when they began to confer with the representative of the sick country of Europe in order to agree on a line with him in negotiations with the leader of the only great power remaining in this four. There would be a breakthrough if they conferred for three with the participation not of Poroshenko, but of Putin. They could develop a line against Poroshenko, who is the main reason for the sabotage of the Minsk agreements,” Zharikhin said.
He believes that the worst scenario was avoided as a result of the meeting in the Normandy format.
“By and large, they didn’t give him permission to shoot. Therefore, he will observe the truce and wait for the decision of the new owner of the White House. So there will be no calm in Ukraine, but there will be no sharp aggravation either,” Zharikhin said.
“Apparently, there will be no use of military action in one of the CIS countries to solve the problems of the election campaign in the United States. It looks like Hillary is in the lead, and there will be no shyness in the methods of counting votes,” the expert added.
