Poroshenko reported what he promised as a candidate and what he fulfilled as president. According to him, he achieved the ratification of the Association Agreement with the European Union, the purification of power by signing the law on lustration, and also dissolved the Verkhovna Rada.
“Friends, wet things don’t burn. And it’s very difficult to press on the gas with reforms when hundreds of people’s deputies are simultaneously, in concert, pressing on the brakes!” – Poroshenko kicked the old Rada.
“And we also need a majority in the Verkhovna Rada. Reformative, not corrupt. Pro-Ukrainian and pro-European, not pro-Soviet,” he transparently hinted.
“Without such a majority in parliament, the presidential program, in which millions of Ukrainians believed, will remain on paper. My team has already prepared a draft coalition agreement. It is based on “Strategy 2020”. This is a change plan we have developed, the implementation of which will ensure the introduction of European living standards and a worthy place for our country in the world. By 2020, Ukraine should be ready to apply for membership in the European Union,” Poroshenko began campaigning.
“Vote for Ukraine – conciliar, united, indivisible, European!” – called the Ukrainian president.
