Poroshenko in Minsk shook hands with Putin, whom he accused of aggression against Ukraine
Minsk - Kyiv, August 26 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Petro Poroshenko shook hands with Vladimir Putin before the start of negotiations in Minsk in the Ukraine-CU-EU format. This happened before the summit participants lined up in front of journalists for a group photo.
The handshake is an important fact, because just recently Poroshenko called the conflict in Donbass a “patriotic war” of Ukraine, accusing Russia of aggression against Ukraine.

It is noteworthy that deputy Irina Gerashchenko, Poroshenko’s representative for resolving the crisis in Donbass, made it clear that Kyiv highly appreciated the words of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev about the need for an early ceasefire.
“Nursultan Nazarbayev, at the beginning of a bilateral meeting with President Poroshenko, indicated that the mutual ratification of the Association Agreement with the EU does not interfere with our trade relations in any way; Kazakhstan, as a neutral country, is ready to join the humanitarian mission of the Red Cross and wishes peace to Ukraine,” Gerashchenko noted.
