Poroshenko is furious: In the center of Kiev they glorified the USSR, despite the ban
Despite the legal ban, the Soviet Union was glorified in Kyiv today.
These words were heard in the Park of Eternal Glory during an event dedicated to the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, organized by the Kiev Organization of Veterans of Ukraine.

Those gathered, including front-line veterans, walked from Glory Square along the Alley of Heroes to the Eternal Flame, where the rally took place. Many of the action participants held photographs of their relatives - participants in the Great Patriotic War. Some people came with orange and black ribbons pinned to their chests, the wearing of which in Ukraine today is unsafe, although not prohibited by law.
Opening the rally, its organizers emphasized that it was being held in memory of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. At the same time, in post-Maidan Ukraine, this term was removed from official circulation by a law adopted on the eve of Victory Day.
“Today is a significant day, symbolizing the greatness of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics,” Nikolai Tsarev, a participant in the military parade on November 7, 1941 in Moscow, who fought at Stalingrad and liberated Kyiv, emphasized in his speech. – We retreated, but believed in victory and friendship of peoples. Hitler said on May 30 that within a few weeks or months the USSR would collapse under the strength and might of German weapons. Failed! The Soviet Union did not collapse, but strengthened its multinational unity every day.”
Also, the veteran, recalling the parade on Red Square, quoted the speech of Joseph Stalin, which is also prohibited by the law adopted by the Verkhovna Rada (quoting leaders of the USSR is prohibited, except for quotes related to the development of Ukrainian science and culture).
After the meeting, its participants laid flowers at the Eternal Flame.
